Engine

The heart of a Supercar lies within a driveline capable of taking on the competition. Splitray features one of Chevrolet Performance’s ultimate crate engines, the 6.2L LT4 V-8, being the most powerful offering for a production car in their history. Prepped and tuned by industry-leading Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, it’s dyno-rated at 800hp. A cast aluminum block featuring 6-bolt, cross-bolted main caps, packs a modern speed shop full of internals including a forged steel crankshaft linked to matching forged powdered-metal rods with forged aluminum pistons and hydraulic roller cam. A set of A356T6 Rotocast aluminum cylinder heads, as cast, with 65.5cc chambers make seamless power especially when matched to a 1.7L Eaton R1740 TVS Supercharger with direct-injection and 87mm throttle body coming to life through a factory coil-pack ignition system. Exhaust features factory stainless headers linked to a custom 3-inch stainless tubing. Power moves through a GM 8L90-E 8-speed overdrive transmission, incorporating world-class up-shift speeds with a manual transmission option if desired.

Chassis

For true Supercar handling on both the street and track, a custom-fabricated Rothspeed IRS chassis incorporates the finest components including their exclusive 2×4-inch steel framerails with integrated internal X-rail design at all suspension mounting points. Out back, a Rothspeed Gen II billet IRS assembly features an aluminum 9-inch Ford-style housing, Strange Pro Nodular Iron 3rd member, Wavetrac differential and 35-spline chromoly 934 CV shafts. At each corner you’ll find Rothspeed adjustable billet upper and lower control arms combined with matching billet spindles deftly matched to JRI double-adjustable coilover shocks with remote reservoirs, Hyperco springs and 1.25-inch splined sway bars. For the ultimate in stopping power, Wilwood 14-inch drilled and vented rotors with matching 6-piston calipers are complimented by a Bosch Motorsports Adjustable M5 ABS system and custom designed Bosch/EMtron traction control.

Body

Based on classic body lines, Splitray showcases a first-ever true wide-body for the design showcasing a 6-inch wider cabin and seating for drivers up to 6’7” in height. The 100-percent carbon fiber body shell, created from a total of 50-separate molds, utilizes a two-layer process with sound deadening sandwiched between the layers, providing an exceptionally solid overall feel.

Interior

Stepping into Splitray it’s obvious the car is all business with its exceptional attention to detail surrounding the driver experience. Inside you’ll find ample exposed carbon fiber accented by plush leather Recaro seating and classic German square weave carpeting. For comfort, a Vintage Air system features Emtron touch screen controls as an industry first as well as traction control, ABS braking, GPS and onboard diagnostics. To monitor the vitals, an exclusive for Rothspeed, Emtron’s VC10M digital dash features a 10.3-inch TFT HD screen with anti-reflective optical bonded glass. The dash showcases Emtron’s state-of-the-art capabilities including user-defined screens with custom screen design options, lap timing, 4x camera inputs, dual CPU and TPMS.

Splitray Electronics Developed By

Innovation linking the past to the future is showcased with EMtron Electronics through their cutting-edge engineering and development to provide complete custom engine management as well as telematics often only found in an OEM experience.
The great conductor of this automotive symphony is the new EMtron VC10M vehicle control system, pioneered exclusively for Rothspeed by EMtron of Australia. The VC10M is a truly integrated vehicle management system allowing user to control not only the climate and infotainment, but also make real time adjustments to cars power level, traction control, ABS and braking sensitivity. A high-speed communication network between the vehicles’ engine management and other systems allows Splitray to be packed with state of the art assistive technology that’s a true pleasure to the senses.

Splitray is now in production

From $600,000

After years of design innovation and engineering; Splitray is ready to meet your expectations as a hand-built, low-production Supercar, ensuring complete exclusivity with every vehicle produced. Each unique build can be customized to suit the owner’s personal needs and style choices.

Splitray started as an opportunity

to meld classic vintage style with a truly never before seen look fusing the past with the future by incorporating a new-generation C7 interior into that of a C2, increasing the cabin width by 6-inches and creating a true wide-body experience. Having competed at the highest level in the show world, Splitray achieved special recognition wherever it was shown including the Detroit Autorama where it earned a much-coveted Great 8 in Ridler competition.

Splitray Timeline

Burlington, VT 2014.

For Scott Roth and Dennis Johnson, doing something that’s never been done before leads you down a path where you’re setting the new standard and there is no margin for error. It’s one where custom fabrication is the norm and designing new elements to infuse into the build is a way of life that occupies you both day and night. Melding an iconic past design with cutting edge performance, technology and comfort without sacrificing the original elements is the key in making the project work as experienced with Splitray.
